NEURONUS 2015 IBRO & IRUN Neuroscience Forum
"NEURONUS 2015 IBRO & IRUN Neuroscience Forum" is an international conference on various aspects of neuroscience: from strictly biological, through cognitive, to clinical ones.
The conference programme (coming soon on the website) includes plenary lectures of acknowledged neuroscientists, as well as with oral sessions and poster presentations.
NEURONUS IBRO & IRUN Neuroscience Forum is a continuation of the annual Kraków Workshop on Psychophysiology held since 2006. In its current form, NEURONUS forum is co-organised by two faculties of the Jagiellonian University: the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences and the Faculty of Philosophy, in collaboration with the partners from the JU Medical College, the Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and member institutions of the International Research Universities Network (IRUN), to which the Jagiellonian University also belongs.
The previous edition of NEURONUS forum gathered about five hundred participants from 18 countries and over 60 research institutions. The conference has been positively evaluated by both its participants (by means of an evaluation survey) and the IRUN governing body in Nijmegen.
It should be stressed the NEURONUS is a prestigious trademark, created at the Jagiellonian University by its academic staff, widely recognised among the neuroscientific community and generally associated with the JU and Kraków. Mindful of that, the city authorities have been collaborating with the conference organisers for several years. The conference has also been considered a model example of collaboration within the IRUN Network.
In 2012 the conference received a distinction in StRuNa contest under the auspices of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, whereas in 2014 its organizers were awarded a prestigious prize of the Polish Congress Ambassadors Programme.
